About: William
Name: William Moss
ProfileEducator, writer, greening expert, master gardener, environmental scientist, media personality, and all around good guy are some of the ways people describe me. I've been fortunate enough to combine these areas of my life into many interesting projects, such as developing youth mentorship programs at Chicago Botanic Garden, writing curriculum for landscape training and apprenticeship programs, supervising the installation of community gardens for the Chicago Department of Environment, serving as urban gardening expert for the National Gardening Association, and educating viewers on The Discovery Channel, TLC, HGTV, CBS Early Show, ABC Good Morning America, CNN, QVC, and other media outlets.
Like most people, I'm concerned about toxins and pollutants in the environment. As an educator, I share my experiences with greening and environmental landscaping to help people in their quest for greener gardens. I encourage people to go outside and get active. I strive to educate and inspire people to improve their landscape for the benefit of themselves, their community, and their environment. Raising our collective consciousness and teaching people what they personally can do to be better stewards is exciting. But my motives aren’t all altruistic. Helping people live greener lives is good for the planet and its inhabitants, like me.
