The words ‘organic’ and ‘natural’ are tossed around with such barrage that it would give some popular celebrities a run for their money. The rise of ‘organic’ and ‘natural’ is one that has taken shape through a combination of publicity and consumer awareness. Once it became known to consumers that the products they have been using for years, could have an adverse effect on their health, consumer conscious shifted to the beneficial option of going ‘organic’. More then ever, consumers are reading labels, checking ingredients, and caring for themselves in ways that would have previously been seen to be anathema. The new health conscious, educated consumer is not accepting the synthetic chemicals we have been sold for years, and forcing organizations to develop ‘organic’ solutions. The companies interested in consumer health are beginning to move to the forefront and the technological advances they have invested in to protect the health of their consumer, have proven to be fruitful and worthwhile.
A natural evolution of the subject has taken hold in mainstream media and continuously receives more and more coverage as consumer interest grows. Early adopters to the ‘organic’ movement already understood the benefits, and new adopters are recognizing the same benefits must become centric to their lifestyle. As more and more consumers are shifting their choices from synthetic formulas having an adverse effect on their health, to ‘organic’ formulas sustaining a healthier lifestyle, demand for ‘organic’ products will continue to increase, regardless of price. Even in times of economic unrest and tightening of budgets, consumers realize their family’s health and well-being can’t be determined over a price point.
With that being said, what made you decide ‘organic’ is the right choice for you and your family? Was it the potential health risks of synthetic formulas? Was it part of a greater healthy lifestyle adopted by your family? I will share my reasons in the next post but I am curious…. What was your trigger?
